July 2011 New Training Centre

BLS Asbestos have now opened their new 'Training Centre' for both internal and external requirements. BLS recognised the need for a larger training facility for Health and Safety Consultation meetings, regular internal training courses and external training such as Asbestos Awareness training etc...

It has already been put to good use with regular internal training courses and also many of BLS Asbestos' clients are having Asbestos Awareness courses undertaken by our experienced SHEQ Manager.

We are currently organising the Asbestos Awareness training of 30 Managers for a South Yorkshire based company and we look forward to obtaining some positive feedback later next month.

BLS launch new Logo.

After nearly ten years with the old BLS Asbestos 'arrows' type logo, BLS have decided to have a new corporate image and change this to a more modern logo.

Charles Burke (Managing Director) and Tom Dewhirst (Business Development Manager) finally approved the final draft of the new BLS logo last week. The website, company clothing, stationary, vehicles will have necessary changes made over the next few months.

Press Release. After months of hard work, determination and significant investment, BLS Asbestos Ltd are pleased to announce they have had their asbestos removal license renewed for a further 3 years duration.

It was the Managing Director's decision to make changes within the existing management structure. Together with the Financial Director's backing, BLS invested significantly, appointing new management for specific roles within the organisation. This has created an excellent safety management system and a much improved health and safety culture has evolved as a result of these changes.

Charles Burke, Managing Director at BLS commented on the recent news:

"We are really pleased with the changes that have been made over recent months and the renewal of our 3 year asbestos licence is an achievement in itself. I would like to personally thank everyone within the organisation for months of hard work and determination. We wish to continue improving all aspects of the business as we drive proposed growth and development of the company."

BLS are planning to make further improvements later this year and well into 2011.
